Care for a cup of tea?

Do you drink tea in the am or various times throughout the day?
Do you not drink tea but wish you did more often?

One of the main reasons why people do not drink tea as often as they would like is because of the flavor. This is totally understandable why would you drink something you do not like?

The good thing about tea is that you can do a great deal with it to add flavor to your liking.

Benefits!!! (motivate some of you  a little bit ;) )
  • provides a plethora of antioxidants (fighting off those free radicals----bad cells!! can fight off ravishes of aging)
  • boosts your immune system ---good to take everyday!! do not wait until you feel sick take it before so you don't!!!
  • less caffeine then coffee
  • Increases metabolic rate so you burn more calories!!!
  • calorie free (prior to adding stuff)
  • Reduce risks of disease
  • helps you focus
  • the catechins in it help fight athritis!!!
  • bone strength
  • lowers cholesterol, heart disease, cancer risks
  • weight maintenance
  • great for the skin and hair!!!
Some other things you should know
  • You get what you pay for!!! Get the name brand tea like Yogi or Natures Cure or traditional medicinals----they are real and you get a great deal of the benefits vs getting a store brand tea that is not fresh and has fillers.
  • Loose tea is better than tea bags----so get both (days you are in a rush have the tea bag available days you have time utilize the loose tea---getting a tea ball or mini strainer comes in handy)
  • Decaffeinated tea removes some of the anitioxidants----try regular caffeinated (naturally in tea) if it affects you all too much then get decaffeinated----if not stick to the regular so you get as many AOX in as possible.
  • Go to a tea specialty store to explore whats in store ;) like Teavana or a health food store like Whole foods, lazy acres, paulines, lassens etc. Sometimes they have samples out or if they do not well they provide a wide variety of teas!!!
  • Yes it is true that some teas are better than others and they provide various benefits-=----i would much rather you just start drinking it and making it a Lifestyle change---then being overly specific and you end up not doing it anyway!! So just have any real tea bag/loose tea and you will get many, many benefits.
Ways to add life to tea!!
  • Add a slice of ginger
  • add lemon
  • honey, agave nectar, turbinado sugar or stevia
  • light cream, soy, rice, almond, evaporated milk
  • cinnamon stick
  • lemon juice
  • brew it then add lemon, a sweetneer and put it in the refrigerator!!! Cold tea is sooo tasty expecially blueberry bliss from teavana!!
  • add clove
  • add mint leaves
  • cucumber and lemon
  • Add a tea bag to your morning JOE!!! sounds weird but you barely taste it, it is a good way to start slow and your are getting double benefits!!! (I have used Yogi green tea energy, coffee (organic or a good brand ---- like pilon, bustelo, seattles best levels etc.), a tad of carnation milk, a tad of an all natural caramel creamer, and a teaspoon of turbinado sugar.
